摘要：Sub-calibre projectiles (1) often have a sabot (30) possessing a first air pocket(31) which causes the sabot (30) to come loose from the projectile core (20) or which isintended to assist this on spin-stabilised projectiles. The object on which the invention isbased is to develop a projectile (1), in which as low a mass as possible is necessary, evenfor relatively long sabots (30), and in which the sabot segments, after leaving the barrel,come loose quickly and without disturbing the flight behaviour of the projectile core (20).This object is achieved in that the sabot (30) has a guide part (32) arranged in front of thefirst air pocket (31) in the direction of flight of the projectile (1), and in that a second airpocket (34) is provided at the front end of the guide part (32).
