摘要：Apparatus and method for setting and machining the surface of at least oneworkpiece. The apparatus includes a structural member, means for supporting thestructural member for transverse and longitudinal movement, and, a cutting device and aspacing block serially mounted on the structural member. The cutting device and thespacing block are disposed on the structural member such that the machining surface ofthe cutting device is located in a plane outside the plane of at least one side of thespacing block by a distance sufficient to remove a predetermined thickness of materialfrom the workpiece.
