摘要：A shielded plug assembly (12) for mating a shielded multiconductor cableassembly (14) to a shielded receptacle connector (16) employs a unitary molded wirepositioning member (108) (see Fig. 2) to position and secure the conductors (48) (Fig. 4)
prior to and during insertion of the wire positioning member into the plug assemblyhousing (56). The conductors (48) are cut after being positioned within the member (108)a portion of the wire positioning member being deformed to securely hold theconductors therein. When the plug assembly (12) is terminated to the conductors (48)camming operation of the wire positioning member (108) and the housing (56) moves theconductor ends within the housing (56) to assure alignment with corresponding insulationpenetrating type terminals (60).
