摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial blood vessel with a frame where the artificialblood vessel can be transplanted in a non-operation manner by providing elastic ring-shaped wire rod portions capable of freely bending, on both end portions of the artificialblood vessel. CONSTITUTION:A frame 6 for an artificial blood vessel 1 is formed in a solidstructure by ring-shaped wire rod portions 2 positioned on both sides and a connectingwire rod portion 3 for connecting both side ring-shaped wire rod portions 2 to eachother. A material of soft quality excellent in elastic restoring force such as a titanium-nickel alloy wire is used as material for the frame 6. The artificial blood vessel 1 wherethe frame 6 is installed is reduced in its diameter and folded up so as to be inserted in along sheath 4. The forward end portion of the long sheath 4 is fed into the diseased partof a blood vessel 5, and the artificial blood vessel 1 is pushed in the direction of an arrow(a) by a push rod 7 to pull out the long sheath 4 in the direction of an arrow (b).Whereupon, only the artificial blood vessel 1 is left behind, and the folded ring-shapedwire rod portions 2 are elastically restored to the original ring shape by the elasticrestoring force. artificial blood vessel 1 are forced to closely adhere to the blood vessel 5 walls of bothsides of an ill part 8 of the aorta or the like, and the artificial blood vessel 1 is fixed to theinside of the blood vessel 5.
