Unit 2 What’s the matter?

教材:PEP六(下)Unit 2 Part A 的部分内容

教材内容简析:

本单元的核心教学内容是“询问别人情况”。本单元结合句型What’s the matter ?I’m …集中教学表示感觉的形容词tired ,ill,hot ,cold ,hungry ,thirsty ,sleepy和bored .在本单元还出现了日常交际用语Come and have supper … Good evening .You look …Why don’t you go to bed now ?What a nice …!在教学过程中教师注意多创设情景,让学生在语言情景中理解和操练,力求做到运用自如。此外,在教学感受的形容词时,教师要充分利用表情和动作,让学生去理解接受,并通过表演去巩固运用。

一、Teaching aims and demands:

1、能力目标

(1) 能够简单询问他人的身体是否健康,如:What’s the matter ? How do you feel?

(2) 能够简单表达自己或他人的健康状况,如:I have a headache / cold / toothache /fever /flu. I feel sick.

(3) 能够简单表达生病期间的注意事项,如: Take some medicine.等。

2、知识目标

(1) 在复习了6个词组:hurt, have a cough, have a fever, have a cold, have the flu, have a sore throat 的基础上,再教学3个词组:have a headache, have a toothache, have an earache。

(2) 能够听说读A部分的Let’s talk ,let’s read 部分的三会句子,如:How do you feel? I feel fine / sick. Take some medicine。

3、情感文化策略等有关目标:

(1) 情感态度:培养学生团结友爱,关心他人的良好品质。

(2) 学习策略:引导学生在学习的过程中注重合作学习, 利用教材中设计的Pair work, Group work等部分,培养合作学习的意识。

(3) 文化目标:让学生理解健康的体魄和平时的健康饮食、良好的生活习惯、体育锻炼有关。

二、Teaching main points:

(1) 学生能够听、说、读、写9个词组。

(2) 学生能够询问和描述生病,如:What’s the matter? I have ____. My ____ hurts.

三、Teaching difficult points:

(1) 学生能够表演故事。

(2) 能够听说读A部分的Let’s learn 的三会单词和Let’s talk ,let’s read 部分的三会句子。

录音机,磁带,教学卡片,一张资料,课件,药品,针管

五、Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Warm-up

1、Greeting: Hi, boys and girls. Today there are some teachers in our class. Let’s say: Good morning. Teachers.

2、Freely talk:

T: What’s your name? How old are you? How are you? 引出:How do you feel? 你觉得怎么样?I’m fine / I feel sick.

3、Present: Take some medicine.

T: I feel sick today. I have a cold. Don’t worry. I have taken some medicine.

教学单词:medicine 教学:Take some medicine.

练习:T: I feel sick. S: Don’t worry. Take some medicine.

4、Listen and do.

T: Thank you, boys and girls. I feel better now. Let’s play a game. Mike says you do. Mike doesn’t say. You can’t do. OK?

Mike says: stand up. Sit down. Don’t do: Clap your hands.

Open your mouth. Say ‘Ah’ Wave your arms.

Touch your ear / head / tooth. Touch your nose / mouth / throat / eye…

Step 2 Presentation and Revision

1、Present: toothache, headache, earache

(1) 由tooth 引出 ache 疼

T: My tooth aches. Teach: ache My tooth aches. I can say: I have a toothache.

each: tooth 牙 ache / eik / 疼 toothache 牙疼

(2) teach: have a toothache

(3) act and say: I have a toothache

(4) 拓展: head + ache = headache , ear + ache = earache

Stomach + ache = stomachache

(5) Game: loudly and quiet say

2、通过图片等形式,快速复习词组:have a cough, have a cold, have a fever, have a sore throat, hurt

T: Look at the TV. What’s the matter? He / She …

3、Read

(1) Show card, read one by one.

(2) 老师出示一张卡片,同桌两人一组,一人问,一人边表演边回答。

(3) 最后老师问,所有学生一起说。

4、Practice: Take out this paper.

(1) Game: bingo

T: Let’s play a game. Bingo.(出示课件) Take out the paper. First, read together. Second, write down the phrases.

(老师说一个单词,学生把听到的单词画叉。然后让学生说其他的单词。)

T: Are you ready? Listen and cross. Who is Bingo? Wow, you’re lucky dog.(表情夸张的祝贺学生,你是一位幸运儿。)

(2) Listen, tick or cross.

Step 3 The Story

1、Act the story

T: I feel sick. My friend, Ben. He feels not good. Look. He’s coming. (老师戴上头饰扮演Ben)Hi, boys and girls. I’m Ben. I’m 13 yeas old. I don’t work hard. I like playing computer games and watching TV. Sometimes I don’t do homework. So I’m afraid of the test. 教学:bed, best----test 测试

老师表演看电视和打游戏,说:I’m tired.

( 课前让一位学生扮演妈妈,看见Ben睡着了,跑上来敲门说): Ben, get up.

Ben: Oh, my God. I have a test today. (自言自语地轻声说) Mom, I can’t go to school.

Mom: What’s the matter? Ben: I feel sick.

Mom: Don’t worry! Let’s go to the hospital.

(课前让一位学生扮演医生,这时马上走上讲台): What’s your name?

Ben: I’m Ben.

Doctor: What’s the matter?

Ben: My nose hurts. I have a fever/cold / cough / sore throat / headache / toothache…

Doctor: Open your mouth. Say ‘ Ah’.

Oh, I see. Nurse, come here.(说悄悄话)

(课前让一位学生扮演护士,护士赶紧走上来)

Nurse: Hi, Ben. Take some medicine.(把药给本)

Ben: Ok.

Nurse: And this? (an injection 注射). (夸张得做打针动作)

Ben: Oh, no, no, no. I’m fine.

2、Answer the question:

T: Take out the paper. Read the story and answer my questions.

Q1: How many people are in the story?

Q2: Who are they in the story?

Q3: Is the boy really ill? No, he isn’t. He is shamming.

Q4: Why does Ben tell lies?

Q5: Why is Ben afraid of the test?

T: Ben doesn’t work hard. Sometimes he doesn’t do homework. You don’t like him. You should work hard.

3、Repeat the story.

(1) Read after T.

Step 4 Consiluation

1、Today we learned: hurt, have a cough, have a cold, have a fever, have a sore throat, have a headache, have a toothache. If you are ill. Don’t worry. See the doctor. Take some medicine. Take an injection.

2、How do we keep the doctor away? Do exercise. Good habits. Healthy food. We learned the song: An apple day keeps the doctor away.

3、Let’s sing the song.

Summary: Today, we learned: hurt, have a cough, have a cold, have a fever, have a sore throat, have a headache, have a toothache. A story about Ben. How can we keep the doctor away? You did a good job. So, I am happy and excited.(学生说出) Thank you, boys and girls.

课后反思:

本课的设计使学生确实从学习中学会了如何谈论外貌,同时还学会了识别不同人物外貌特征,设计简单通缉令。丰富了学生生活,同时也是一种真实的体验。增加学生的语言

实践,促进他们在整个教学活动中主动参与。

六年级Unit2 What's the matter,Mike?

教学目标:

1、能够听、说、读、写短语:have a cold, have a toothache, have a fever, hurt, have a headache.

2、能够听、说、认读短语:have a sore throat.

3、能够听、说、认读句型:What’s the matter, Mike? I feel sick. I have a fever.并进行关键词的替换操练。

教学重点:

听、说、读、写短语“have a cold, have a toothache, have a fever, hurt, have a headache”,听懂、会说句子What’s the matter? 并会用询问他人状况的问句和答句替换关键词操练所学新词和短语。

教学难点:四会单词、短语的书写及其发音。

课前准备:

1、教师准备本课时所需的词卡。

2、教师准备录音机和录音带。

3、教师准备本单元的挂图。

板书设计:

What’s the matter with Mike?

He has a fever.

I have a headache/ have a toothache/ have a sore throat/ have a cold.

教学过程设计

1、 Warm-up

Daily oral practice.

Good morning! Glad to meet you. How are you? What are you? What is your mother? 对话练习,已学知识的巩固。

2、 Preview

(1) Let’s chant (四上unit 6)

a. 听一遍录音 b、师生一起说唱

When we want to learn something, we can come to school. When we feel hungry, we can go to KFC. When we feel sick, we can go and see a doctor. We should go and see a doctor when we feel sick.

(2) Let’s start:

出示挂图,Look! We have some new friends here. Who are they? Are they happy? Where are they? What are they doing? What’s the matter with them? 帮助学生回答:The robot is tired. The rabbit is sad. The straw man has a headache. The dog has a sore throat. The monkey’s leg hurts. 可引导学生通过仔细观察教学挂图来帮助学生熟悉答句中的新单词和短语。

3、 Presentation

(1)、教师出示一个体温表,介绍说This is a thermometer. If I have s fever, it will tell me. I don’t have a fever today. I feel well. But Mike doesn’t feel well. He has a fever.指着学生用书上Mike发烧的图画教学have a fever. 教师示范朗读,学生跟读。可结合实际生活,让学生触摸他人和自己的前额来判断是否发烧 Do you have a fever?

(2)、继续观看Let’s start部分的教学挂图,问“what’s the matter with the straw man?”引导学生说出 He has a headache.再指着图中的猴子问:Does the monkey have a headache,too?突出have a headache的发音。板书并教授该短语。

(3)、教师接着问学生:The monkey doesn’t have a fever. What’s the matter with him? Yes, his leg hurts.示范朗读并板书,学生跟读。可适当拓展语言,如:My arm hurts.

His ear hurts. Her nose hurts. My nose hurts等。

(4)、教师出示一些糖果,Here are some sweets. I like eating sweets. So I often have a toothache. 做牙痛状,板书 have a toothache并领读,同时指出headache和toothache构词及发音特点。

(5)、认读学过的单词卡片,因出新短语have a sore throat, 重点教授throat的读音, 可分解拼读。

I don’t feel well. I have a fever. I have a headache. I have a sore throat. My nose hurts. What’s the matter with me? Guess!引出短语 have a cold.

(6)、Activity one: 小组形式,教师提问:cold, cold, who has a cold? 拿有相应卡片的小组齐声边做动作边回答:cold, cold, I have a cold.替换不同卡片做此活动。

(7). 教师领读 Let’s learn部分。

4、 Consolidation and extension

(1)背诵并抄写本课时的四会短语。

(2)请学生分别扮演医生和病人,用句型What’s the matter? I have a fever/ My leg hurts…来提问,回答并附以相应的动作,表情。
