　　Baiyunshan National Forest Park is located in the primitive forest regionof Funiu Mountain in the south of Song County, Luoyang City, Henan Province,with a total area of 168 square kilometers. It is located in the transition zonefrom warm temperate zone to subtropical zone, across the Yangtze River, YellowRiver and Huaihe River. The highest temperature in summer is less than 26 ℃, andthere are abundant animal and plant resources. According to the survey, thereare 204 kinds of animals and 1991 kinds of plants. The forest coverage rate ismore than 95%. It is known as the "natural museum" by experts and scholars.There are 37 peaks with an altitude of more than 1500 meters in the territory,of which Yuhuangding is 2216 meters above sea level, the first peak in theCentral Plains. It is the best place to see the sunrise and the sea of clouds.Here are the beautiful peaks, the long white clouds, the falling waterfalls, thedeep forests and the secluded valleys. There are many scenic spots, such asBaiyun peak, Yuhuangding, Xiaohuang mountain, jijiaojian and Qianchi cliff; tenthousand mu primeval forest, gingko forest in Tang Dynasty, Wild Peony Garden,alpine azalea garden, red birch forest, white birch forest and arrow bambooforest; black dragon pool, Huanglong well, pearl pool, Qinglong waterfall, whiteDragon Waterfall and Jiulong waterfall; The cave landscape is represented byBaiyun cave, Qingshe cave, Luogu cave, Dongtian plank road and Xianren bridge;the humanistic landscape is represented by wuman temple, Yunyan temple andYuhuang Pavilion; the phenological landscape is represented by sunrise in thesea of clouds, summer resort and golden autumn leaves. The whole scenic areaintegrates mountain, stone, water, cave, forest, grass, flower, bird and beast.It is magnificent, dangerous, strange, secluded, beautiful and wonderful. It hasformed five distinctive light viewing areas, namely Baiyun peak, Yuhuangding,xiaohuangshan, Jiulong waterfall and primeval forest. It has become a compoundtourist area integrating sightseeing, summer vacation, scientific researchpractice and ancient exploration in the Central Plains "Fairyland on earth" and"famous mountains in the Central Plains". In 1992, it was approved as a nationalforest park by the Ministry of forestry. In 1998, it was upgraded to a nationalnature reserve. In 1997, it was recommended as the third place of "ten bestscenic spots in Henan Province".

　　After 10 years of development and construction, the park has initiallyformed a supporting tourism service system for food, housing, transportation,tourism, entertainment and shopping, planned to build 10 hotels, improved roadsand service facilities, built the Yuhuangding mountain slide and "the first jumpin Asia" - Baiyunshan Yunfei bungee jump, forming a 10000 person day receptioncapacity. At present, it has become a new hot spot in the Central Plains and akey tourist area in the south line of Luoyang.

　　There are seven peaks in Baiyun peak tourist area, which are surrounded bywhite clouds all the year round. The main peak of Baiyun Mountain is 2050m abovesea level. There is a white snake cave at the top of the peak, which is said tobe the place for white snake cultivation. There are also some scenic spots onthe mountain, such as yixiantian, Jintu Baiyue, Wangfu stone, overpass, Baiyuncave, Millennium ginkgo, wuman temple tower, etc.

　　Baiyunshan National Forest Park is rich in tourism resources. In spring,the trees are fragrant and the flowers are beautiful; in summer, the greenmountains are green and the climate is cool; in autumn, the mountains are fullof fruits and red leaves; in winter, the snow is covered with ice and jade. Thenatural landscape is ever-changing and intoxicating.
